There's a bean in my belly

I tried to find a picture of a kidney bean, but got nauseous just looking at them, so i found this friendly bean instead.

Which actually, is more indicative of what is actually going on in my "belly". Somehow, "there's a baby in my uterus" just doesn't have the same ring to it. So, in case you haven't caught all the innuendo....I"m pregnant.

I"m about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant and feeling awful. No, unfortunately I don't mean awe-ful, as in full of awe and wonder at this wonderful new life growing inside me (ok a little bit, but it's so hard to be excited about anything when...). I mean awful as in horribly miserable and mostly debilitated. So, yes i'm excited that all this misery will have a wonderful outcome, i'm just a little caught up in the "i feel like i have the stomach flu all the time" feeling. Sad, but true.

So, there you have it it. Baby number two is in progress.

p.s. feel free to pray for me, let me change that, PLEASE PRAY FOR ME. The only thing i hate more than being sick, miserable and pregnant is.....still thinking......there must be something worse.....stay tuned...

wow, this is a bit depressing. Sorry, but again, it's indicative of reality right now. I'm excited for God's blessing to us, I am. We could just use a whole lot of prayer and grace right now. Amen to that.

There

swimming, swamming

we had a breakthrough at the keys this year. At Heidi's suggestion we got Rye some water wings to try to get that kiddo to break his death grip and swim (somewhat) on his own. So, we broke them out in the pool and lo and behold, he did it! He was not to excited at first, and admittedly there wasn't much actual swimming going on, but he did float on his own and occasionally pretend to kick. Progress! Here he is holding himself out of the water, notice Trev's "I'm ready" hand. ;)

He's happy, I swear, he liked it. Ok, not so much here, but before I got the camera (of course) he was loving it. Oh well.

Not one to waste time, Rye and Trevor immediately started working on some tricks. Here's their best one.

I love going out on the boat.

Rye is also becoming a big fan. Mostly when he's allowed to drive though. Oh and don't even think about steering while he's driving, he finds that highly offensive. I'm so glad he likes going on the boat, of course I did threaten to disown him if he didn't, but I still think his love is genuine.
