Rye, 21 months

Some people out there....have indicated that I've been slacking in my blogging regularity. Indeed, tis true. I have many a reason, but none very interesting. So, i'll be playing catch up, but not for a while, for reasons to be explained later (criptic indeed!).

For now, here's a recent shot of our dear Rye-Guy. He will be 21 months tomorrow. Wow. He's gi-normous and everyone thinks he's already 2. He's walking and trying to talk. He's doing more in depth playing, ie, stacking, arranging, driving, building etc He loves playing with Zoe, LOVES cars and still has quite the affinity for Diego. He is a pretty good eater, a great sleeper and overall a pretty easy-going kid. There is an increase in the disobedient/defiant tendencies. (loads of fun) but i guess that goes with the approaching birth date...

He loves his buddy Avery (my friend Heidi's 4 year old). Yes, Avery hung the moon. What else...? Well, Rye's just starting to show some interest in the whole "graduating" from the diaper issue. Not enough to act on, but progress. He thinks sneezing is funny and echos everyone's sneeze with a "choo" of his own (fake, mind you). He still loves to pray and read his bible. We pray a couple (hundred) times a day. So odds are, you've been prayed for recently by Rye. ;)

He's very attached to me lately. Maybe because with traveling and Trev out of town, we've spent a lot of time together. He is giving great hugs (initiating them too, which is the best) and some good open-mouth fish kisses.

Ok, well that's a bit of the newness of Rye. More later. Enjoy the picture. It's a good one.

Rye keeps getting cuter and cuter and is becoming such a big boy....we like hearing about him praying and reading his Bible. Keep it up Rye, Uncle Doug and Aunt Ginnie need a LOT of prayer :)

Pretty soon he will be old enough to come in my Preschool S.S. class when he visits. That will be a great day for me.
