Allow me to explain. When you are learning to drive a stick shift someone will explain to you about pushing in the clutch, putting the car into gear, and releasing the clutch as you press on the gas. You can understand all of the steps, but you don't really understand it, until you get in the car. So you take your head knowledge and you begin to apply it. You go through the steps and then you begin to get a FEEL for how it all works. Then, once you start getting the feel for it, you realize that some cars need you to let the clutch out slower, some you have to apply more gas and some are quite capable of starting in 2nd or 3rd gear, while others need to be eased through 1st. But don't worry, you will get a feel for you own car and what makes it run smoothly. And the good news is, it gets easier and becomes more natural the more you do it.
There. That's my insightful analogy into motherhood. :) Please, share your "Being a mom is like..." analogy. Prizes will be rewarded.
Speaking of sharing... here are some pictures from our photoshoot yesterday with my big little man. 6 weeks. wow.
